Martha Stewart Collection with Wedgwood "Bouquet" Dinner Plate, 10.75"
Martha Stewart with Wedgwood
$26.97
The innovation of copperplate engraving was ‘transferred' to pottery in the 18th and 19th centuries for a novel method of ceramic glazing. This made it possible to pattern onto three-dimensional wares in fine, intricate detail-like that of a hand drawing-often rendered in tiny dots. The meandering lines of Bouquet's rim borders were inspired by this type of antique transferware piece; a small center medallion embellishes the accent plates for a lovely layered look.
